Prepping the Stream

Using OBS go to Settings > Stream > Set “Service” to Twitch, click “Use stream key” > copy/paste stream key > press “OK” in bottom right corner.

🔑 Current holders of the stream key:

ZimTeemo, 0xZFi, anointingthompson, soundman, seangeorge.eth (account owner?)

The announcement/ description is ready to go on Twitch so it will be titled automatically when you go live.

OBS Setup

Using OBS, go to settings > output > recording format > mp4

[Open the Community Call slide deck in your browser of choice.]

<aside> ⚠️ It is important the slides are layered in this order because higher layers are on top and covering lower layers.

If any changes to the slide deck are made after the stream begins you will not know until it’s too late. The CC cover gives you an emergency cover-up to fix anything going on.

<aside> 👁️ The eyeball button toggles layers (in)visible.

When you toggle “CC Cover” you will be covering the slide deck which gives you time to adjust or refresh the page if slides are out of order or inserted after the stream begins.

Audio Mixer:

Mic/Aux” will only be necessary if you are speaking as well. In which case route your mic of choice into OBS and Discord.

Make sure your mic is muted in OBS as well as Discord or the stream and recording will hear all of your background noise.

When ready, click “Start streaming” and “Start recording”. Now you are streaming to Twitch and recording for later upload to YouTube.
